Cookie policy
This page explains which cookies the site uses, what each one is for, how long they last, and how to change your choice whenever you like. Article 22(2) of Spanish Law 34/2002 applies, together with the criteria of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a site stores in your browser in order to recognise the device on later visits or pages. The term is used broadly here: it also covers other local storage techniques that serve the same function.
Who uses them
The controller is MD NORA, S.L. (La Piratería), CIF B44941045, of C/ Pacífico, 23, local 4, 29004 Málaga, Spain, email mdnora.malaga@gmail.com. There are first-party cookies and third-party cookies, and the table below states the source of each one.
How your permission is asked for
The first time you visit, a notice appears with three options: accept all, reject all, and choose by purpose. Accept and reject sit at the same level, with the same size and the same format, because rejecting has to cost the same as accepting.
Until you decide, no cookie that is not strictly necessary is loaded. Not the measurement ones, not the usage analysis ones, and not the map. If you reject, they are not loaded and no signal is sent to those third parties, not even without cookies.
Your choice is stored for twelve months in a first-party cookie. After that you will be asked again, and sooner if any of the purposes change or a new tool is added.
Purposes
Strictly necessary, always on
They store your cookie choice and allow the page to be served. Without them the site cannot remember what you chose, so they cannot be switched off and they do not require consent.
Functional
They load the map on the Find us page as soon as you open it, with no extra click. If you reject them the map is still available: a button appears in its place and it loads when you ask for it.
Measurement
Google Analytics, to know how many people visit the site, where they come from and which pages they read. It is used to decide what to improve. It is configured without Google signals and without ad personalisation.
Behaviour analysis
Microsoft Clarity, which records mouse movement, clicks and scrolling to spot where people get stuck. It is the most intrusive purpose on the list and sits in its own checkbox on purpose, so that you can accept plain measurement and reject this one.

The booking form is separate
The CoverManager form is not embedded in the page: its window is created when you press a booking button, and not before. Until you press it, no request is made to CoverManager and none of its cookies are set. Once you open it, any cookies set inside that form are theirs and are governed by their own policy.
The same goes for the WhatsApp button: it is a link, not an embedded widget. It loads nothing until you press it, and then it takes you to Meta’s app, under Meta’s terms.
First-party measurement without cookies
Apart from the above, the site runs its own counter that sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. That is why it does not appear in the table and why it does not need your permission: with nothing stored on your device, there is nothing to consent to. It counts page views, referral source, device, language and load time, always as aggregate figures, without storing IP addresses and without any third party involved. Changing your choice
You can review or change what you chose at any time, with the same effort it took to accept:
The same link is always available in the footer of every page. When you withdraw a permission, any cookies already set for that purpose are deleted and the page reloads to stop the scripts that are running.
Deleting them from your browser
As well as using the panel on this site, you can view and delete cookies from your browser, and set it to block them. It is usually under privacy settings:
- Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and site data.
- Safari: Settings, Privacy, Manage website data.
- Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions.
Bear in mind that clearing cookies also clears the one holding your choice, so the site will ask you again.
What happens if you reject
The site works just the same: you can read the menu and the rice dishes, check the opening hours and the terrace, call us, message us on WhatsApp and book a table. The only difference is that the map needs a click to load, and that your visit is not counted in the measurement tools.
International transfers
Measurement and usage analysis cookies involve processing by Google and Microsoft, which may host data in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. If you reject those purposes, no transfer takes place by that route.

Changes to this policy
The cookie inventory is reviewed whenever a tool is added or removed, and this table is generated from that same inventory so that it cannot drift from what the site actually loads.
